Monark

Monark were manufactured in the early 1930's to late 1950's. This is not the same company as Monarch Bike company. Monark's have a two color design like the American classic cars. They were made of good steel and good rubber tires. Monark did make a lighter bike, but that was later in production. One of its first changes was to make lighter tires. They were so well designed that in the 1970's, mountain bikers like to ride a Monark. They found that a Monark with its steel frame could hold up going down mountains. Monark made many different models.
